Fall is in full swing (especially in LA where it hit 90 yesterday, but don’t worry we are looking at the low 70’s next week so there is hope)! Luckily, even in the LA warmth it cools down enough at night to get a little cozy and cute. Even if the weather doesn’t always reflect the season, there is plenty of fall spirit to go around!
Continuing my series of fall date night ideas, Graham and I had to venture to a pumpkin patch. There are a multitude of pumpkin patches around LA and it’s the best way to kick off fall and get your Halloween decor on point. Picking out pumpkins on a date is a super cute way to spend time together with the added bonus of getting to snuggle up with a warm beverage, grabbing a perfectly fall aesthetic photo opp, or embracing your inner child at the petting zoo. Whatever your fall dreams may be, the pumpkin patch has it all.
For my look I chose to go with a super soft and comfortable sweater dress. I love that it is breathable enough to wear without overheating, but makes an excellent layering piece once it starts to cool off more. Since the temperature fluctuates so much in the colder months depending up where you end up going for the day, layering is key and I always like to wear something breathable that can be styled in a ton of different ways. I could see this dress being perfect for Thanksgiving with a pair of heeled booties and some colorful tights. I love having essential pieces in my wardrobe that are versatile enough to last through multiple seasons.
I kept the look simple and cute with a pair of riding boots that I will basically live in this winter. They are a true wide width, warm, and extremely comfortable. I tested them out at a Halloween party earlier this month and they kept me happy on my feet for hours.
Graham kept complimenting my outfit which made my night. I can’t wait to see how you babes would style these pieces. Let me know your favorite fall dates in the comments!
