It is so wonderful to connect with you all in the new year. This January has been a bit all over the place, but I am really trying to focus on bringing in as much positivity into this new decade as possible. I know that right now tends to be “resolution” time, but I also feel that it is important to honor where you are at currently and revel in the place you are at in your life right now. Sometimes it is important to just take a moment to look over the inventory of your life to get grounded and also look at the things that are serving you currently. I also put that to a very literal use of what is serving me in my closet and what can I let go of.
Lately, I have been feeling a more minimal vibe in my day to day life where if something has a print I want it to be wearable in a ton of different ways. I am also all about those essential basics that help to elevate your overall wardrobe. In the new decade I am trying to bring in pieces that are high quality and really versatile.
I put together this look from Catherine’s with my styling goals in mind and came together with my LA version of a winter meets spring transition look. I kept the look classic with black and white elements and finished it off with a jean jacket. Catherine’s pieces are always great quality and the essentials especially last time and time again. This is a totally work appropriate look or perfect for a cute brunch on the weekends.
I finished off the look with a cute layered necklace moment. I especially appreciated the length of these necklaces because it can be a struggle to find a longer necklace that fits in just the right spot. Overall I was really into how this look came together and the best part is being able to use all the pieces in even more outfits so I am able to maximize my wardrobe. I am so excited for this new decade of style!
